    This book systematically introduces the basic principles, theories and some applications of fiber grating. The book is divided into 11 chapters. The first chapter is an overview of the development of fiber grating. From chapter 2 to chapter 7, the writing method, coupling theory, basic feature and applications in optical fiber communication and sensing of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) are discussed in order. Chapter 8 to chapter 11 relates to the development of long period fiber grating (LPFG) from above same four aspects.
