Unity, Harmony, and Pursuit of Excellence
Optical Fiber Technology Research Laboratory (OFT Lab) is a top-ranking research team led by Changjiang Scholar Chair Professor and National Outstanding Youth Fund Gainer. In this team there are 10 excellent faculties, and five of them have studied or worked in abroad for more than one year, such as one postdoctoral at Cornell University, one postdoctor at Nanyang Technological University, one associate research fellow at City University of Hong Kong, one postdoctor at University of Kent and one visiting scholar at Oxford University. Now we have more than 60 graduate students in this big group, and more than 30 students have graduated. From this lab, one winner of National Excellent Doctoral Dissertations of China, five Provincial Excellent Doctors/Masters and about ten Excellent Doctors/Masters of UESTC have been cultivated. In 2012, OFT Lab was selected as the “Innovation Team of Education Ministry of China”, which is the first Innovation Team in the field of optical fiber sensing in China.
