OFT Lab belongs to key laboratory of optical sensing and communication of education ministry of China in School of Communication Information and Engineering of UESTC.
There are two state key discripline for teaching, including “Communication & Information Systems” and “Optical Engineering” which have doctoral and master degree station. Besides, there are two National Specialty—“Communication Engineering” and “Network Engineering”. The “Communication Engineering” specialty is ranked No.1 in China. National communication and information system experimental teaching demonstration center has been constructed. It has already became one of the most important national high education, research and high-tech innovation bases in the field of communication and information.
Professor Rao Yunjiang, director of the laboratory, won the second prize of 2014 National Teaching Achievement Award. The "Legend of Communications" was selected as the National Excellent Video Course.
