Photonic Sensors, co-published quarterly by University of Electronic Science & Technology of China (UESTC) and the respected Springer, is the first high-level professional publication focusing on photonic sensing science and technology. Prof. Rao, the Editor-in-Chief (EIC) of Photonic Sensors, created the journal in March 2011. It is published in the version of both online and print, and has been available online as an Open Access publication. Photonic Sensors has been indexed by EI Compendex, Scopus and so on. All the papers in Photonic Sensors have been included in EI Compendex since Mar. 2012, which lays a good foundation for applying to be indexed by SCI.
Photonic Sensors publishes original, peer-reviewed articles those report on new developments of photonics and sensor communities in all fields of photonic sensing science and technology, including but not limited to topics on optical fiber sensors, planar waveguide sensors, biophotonic sensors and instruments, sensor multiplexing and networking, materials and devices for photonic sensing. Photonic Sensors has published 9 issues including 92 papers. Papers published gain a total download of 22534 times. The editorial board consists of more than 30 internationally recognized experts from 15 different countries or regions, including 11 OSA, IEEE and SPIE Fellows and 9 international famous academic journal editors.
